Granit Xhaka, 27, was stripped of the captaincy following his angry confrontation with Arsenal  fans in a game against Crystal Palace about four weeks ago

The midfielder has not played a single game  in Arsenal's last four games but manager Emery feels he is now ready to return. Unai Emery says Granit Xhaka could return to the Arsenal team against Southampton on Saturday, despite recently claiming he was unsure if he would play for the club again."We will decide on Friday," said Emery.
"He is coming back better in his mind, his mindset is better to help us and to be closer to playing when we need him."

Xhaka walked off the pitch in the 2-2 draw with Palace in October by cupping his ears.

RACISM : FOOTBALL PLAYERS IN THE NETHERLANDS TO PROTEST AGAINST RACISM

Footballer players in the Netherlands' top two divisions( Eredivisie & Erste divisie )  will not play during the first minute of their games this weekend to draw attention to racism in the Netherlands league.
This comes after the racial abuse of Excelsior's Ahmad Mendes by Den Bosch fans on Sunday.

While players in the top two division stand still, the message 'Racism? Then we don't play football' will appear on scoreboards.

An extra minute will be added on to injury time in the first-half. The abuse of Moreira was condemned by many Dutch international footballer players including former Manchester United forward(Memphis Depay)   who's currently playing for Lyon.  while Liverpool midfielder  Wijnaldum said that the incident "really hit me on a personal level".
During the Netherlands' 5-0 over Estonia on Tuesday, Wijnaldum and team-mate Frenkie de Jong pointed to the colour of their skin after the Liverpool star scored his first goal in the game.

We understand that Den Bosch have apologised to Moreira for declaring the striker mistook "crow sounds" for racist abuse during the Dutch Eerste Divisie game.  The referee brought the players off after half an hour as a result of the abuse from a section of the home fans.
Dutch football association have opened an investigation after the incident happened and actions will be taken to ensure that this doesn't occur again.
